Public Adjuster Opportunity Overview
As a Public Adjuster at Manhattan Public Adjustment, you will have the opportunity to use your adjustment knowledge and experience to level the playing field and represent and advocate for the interests of policyholders during the claims process, not their insurance companies.

Ideal Candidate Profile
This role is for the rare individual who excels in high-pressure work environments, wants to establish a long-term relationship with a reputable company that will allow them to grow and flourish, wants to help others in their time of need, and achieve extraordinary personal and professional success.
From a technical standpoint, the ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in property claims, including a deep and fluid understanding of the claims process; direct experience handling structural, personal property, and time-element coverages for homeowner and commercial losses; and the construction and estimating expertise to handle large and complex claims of $1M or more in pre-war, post war, and high-end construction.
The ideal candidate must not only have the claims acumen to develop successful claim strategies for large and complex claims, but also the administrative and marketing smarts, energy, stamina to execute claim strategies with speed and precision and persistence to build and maintain relentless momentum for policyholders in the claims process.
As far as personality, the ideal candidate also possesses strong leadership skills, a passion for helping people, knows how to identify and exploit opportunities, isn’t afraid of personal growth, enjoys a challenge, possess supreme self-confidence, believes in their ability to solve problems, and exhibits a standard of excellence and ethics in everything that they do, both personally and professionally.

The Opportunity:

The position is responsible for personally handling property claims and providing hands-on oversight of all claims within New York City and the surrounding metropolitan area to ensure that they are handled in conformity with the firm’s best practices.
The ideal candidate has a background in property claims or restoration, possesses a passion for helping people in their time of need, and exudes a standard of professional excellence and ethics in everything that they do.

Responsibilities:
Provide Field Adjuster services, as those are understood in the industry, including on-site meetings with insurance companies, taking photos, taking videos, 3-D scans, moisture readings, thermal imaging scans, estimating, etc., while using your independent discretion and judgment to accomplish these tasks in ways that meet the Company’s quality standards.
Aiding, advising, and consulting the Company and its colleagues in the management, preparation, presentation, adjustment, and negotiation of property damage claims for the Company including, but not limited to developing adjustment strategies, reviewing claim documents, collaborating with Company’s teams, maintaining up-to-date claim records, developing claim processes, and other activities pertinent to successful claims handling, as is expected of Public Adjusters working on behalf of a client.
